  Ferrets are carnivores, with a diet of meat only.
• Male ferrets are known as hobs and female ferrets are called jills
• Lifespan 6-10 years
• Commonly kept as house pets
• Spend 14–18 hours a day asleep and are most active around the hours of dawn and dusk, meaning they are crepuscular.
• Perform a “weasel was dance” when excited.
